NOTE: For all operating systems except Microsoft®
Windows® XP, you can download the optional User's Guide Viewer, which
provides an interface for viewing HTML documents installed on your hard drive.
For Windows XP, all documents installed on your hard drive can be viewed through
the Help and Support Center.
To download the viewer, go to the Dell | Support website
at support.dell.com. If this
is your first time to use the website, complete the one-time registration form.
Click Downloads for Your Dell, and complete the information
requested. For the download category, select System Utilities.

Click the Download button to download the zipped file and save it to your
hard drive.
To unzip the file, perform the following steps:
- Go to the directory location you specified when you saved the file.
- Double-click the .exe file you downloaded.
The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box appears.
- Specify the location to save the unzipped files to and click Unzip.
A message appears stating that the files unzipped successfully.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.
- To view the document, start your browser and open the index.htm file in the
directory containing the unzipped files.

You must right-click the link for a portable document format
(PDF) file and save the file to your hard drive. If you attempt to link directly to
large PDF files, your system may freeze.

To save PDF files (files with an extension of .pdf) to your
hard-disk drive, right-click the document title, click Save Target As in Microsoft®
Internet Explorer or Save Link As in Netscape Navigator, and specify a location on
your hard drive.

For detailed information on options and settings, download
the executable file containing the system setup
program, and save the file to your hard drive. Double-click the file to open it, and navigate
through the example screens just as you would navigate through your actual system setup program pages. The information on the
right side of the screen provides details about the settings. Making changes in this file will not affect your system settings.
The file is merely a simulation of the system setup program pages. |
